The Open Beam Pendant Light. This 4-foot long LED pendant fixture is CNC-milled out of aluminum and domestic hardwoods. The bold and enigmatic lighting effect that changes as you move around it. The fixture provides direct and indirect light. The glow is diffused across a broad area, above and below the fixture. The center of the pendant is left completely open between the parallel aluminum bars. The bars have inward-facing grooves for a pair of recessed LED strips. Their narrow spacing away from each other allow you to look at and through the fixture without seeing the light source. The bars are tenuously held at the ends by a pair of solid wood blocks, with a subtle but sculptural curve facing toward the light. Minimal stainless steel fittings, aircraft cables, and internal wiring allow a simple and adjustable suspension method. The bars are available with powdercoat finishes. The end blocks are milled from American Black Walnut.
The fixture weight is 20lbs. LED's are low-voltage (24v). Non-dimming transformer included with the fixture, in order to connect to 120v power. See my other listing for the dimmable version of this same fixture.
